Potomac Bassmasters of Virginia

Alexandria, VA

Potomac Bassmasters of Virginia (PBV) is one of the oldest bass angling clubs in the greater Washington, D.C., area. The club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of bass fishing, conservation and youth involvement in angling. Its members generally come from Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and share a common passion for bass fishing. For more than 30 years, PBV has been hosting fishing tournaments on the Potomac River, sponsoring public events in support of the community and holding an annual youth fishing derby. The Potomac River is PBV's home water but club tournaments have been held in northern and southern Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware and other regional locations. Bass anglers join PBV for the camaraderie and the friendly competition provided through club tournaments. If you are interested in becoming a member or want more information, please contact our chapter president Arnold Aspelin at 301-567-3030; e-mail aaspelin@erols.com , or contact our chapter vice president Rick Kortlang at 703-971-1943 or e-mail rick.kortlang@verizon.net.  You do not need to own a boat to join the club.
