Shenanddoah Valley 4 Wheelers

The Shenandoah Valley Four Wheelers started out as a group of about 5 people getting together regularly on weekends to go wheeling. We finally realized that we were getting more people tagging along on each trip and decided it was time to organize a club in the valley, especially since we are located right smack in the middle of where most people come to wheel in VA, the GW! In November of 1997 we held our first official meeting, elected a BOD and signed our by-laws into effect. During our first year we grew to over 30 members quickly. However with this also came growing pains. We now have about 40 members w/ a strong core group. SV4W is a family-oriented organization joining together many members interested in the enjoyment of four wheel drive vehicles and the art of four wheeling. We continually strive to provide education to our members to promote responsible land use and practice safe four wheel drive vehicle operation. Our membership consists of owners who enjoy a vast array of activities that include camping, off highway trips, Truck Shows, picnics, single day events as well as vacation trips. We are very involved in our "Trail" community. Our members have donated countless hours and miles performing trail maintenance, repair and clean-up. We are members of The Virginia Four Wheel Drive Association and the United Four Wheel Drive Association. We are avid supporters and adhere strongly to the principles set forth by the following organizations: United Four Wheel Drive Associations, Tread lightly, and Virginia Four Wheel Drive Association. We incorporate the fun aspect of club socials and member get-togethers to build a unique unity among our members. We invite you to come see for yourself what SV4W has to offer for you and your family. We strive to educate and inform our members on the issues that concern our sport "Four Wheeling"! Our activities include 1 or 2 trail rides a month along with several social gatherings and trail clean ups throughout the year. Families are welcome on every trailride. We do not alllow alcohol on the rides nor do we appreciate very foul language. We trailride for the enjoyment of "getting out" with family and friends and driving our 4x4's on quality trails.
